Everywhere I go and at every turn with The Pharcyde I get the message about the 90′s era of hip hop…And on this trip to Switzerland, performing at the Royal Arena Festival with Red Man & Method Man, Pharoahe Monch, and Xzibit, it was confirmed.

The Pharcyde, Red Man and Pharoahe Monch Backstage

Having a major talk with Red Man backstage before the show just reminded me of how valuable we all were and how influential we are. Those were indeed great times. It was great to see hip hop culture in full effect in Switzerland–these break dancers were doing their thing at a random location, but it had the perfect dance battle layout made for a wonderful moment in time. I’m so glad I took a walk to explore the city because I would have never known they had that much love for the culture and flavor.

A Magical Swiss Ride with The Pharcyde

What a magical time it was to see so many fans of The Pharcyde and our peers continue to support the hip hop movement. It was also inspiring to see Pharoahe Monch perform his song “Clap.” It’s a song directed at police brutality issues worldwide. It continues to open my heart and my mind as an MC to know that my collegues are fighting for the people still. I love putting positive messages out into the world cause those seeds bear the best fruit.

Thank you Pharoahe, thank you Red Man and Method Man, thank you Pharcyde Team for your contribution to the strength of our culture. It was so great to reconnect with you cats.
